The traditions, religions, cultures and rich heritage of the Indian Subcontinent have been taught and passed down through the generations by parents, grandparents, great masters and teachers through the oral tradition of story-telling. Tales of myths, legends and folklore, gods, goddesses and spirits, kings, demons and heroes, traditions and festivals and historical events and personalities of ancient India have fascinated children for hundreds of years.

Allegorical and symbolic tales and fables with magic, mysticism, talking animals and other personified elements of nature have been an invaluable source of entertainment, inspiration, education and universal values for children, not to mention a source of great imagination!

Saadhak Books believes that these stories need to be preserved, shared and have better awareness, and aims to fathom, simplify and re-tell complex stories into beautifully presented tales, highlighting universal morals and values that can appeal to a wide readership and last for generations.

The publishing house, established in 2008, welcomes comments and suggestions for future titles from its readers. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
